Incandescent lighting is the most common type of lighting used in peoples homes. They are cheaper to buy but can be more expensive in the long run because they do not save energy like fluorescent lighting does. They have a lower wattage and are not as bright as other types of <a href="http://www.galesburgelectric.com/Light-Bulbs/"rel="external"title="light bulbs" >light bulbs. They can make your electric bill go up higher than usual. This is why it is not a good idea to use this type of lighting to light up your home.

If you want to learn more about this type of lighting you should first contact a certified electrician who can answer all of your questions and help you understand more about them. You can also speak to someone who works at a hardware store or home improvement warehouse where they are sold. They can tell you what they know about them. Another option is to search for them online where you can find information and even buy them if you want to.

Darkness is a natural phenomenon and you have to face it at every cost. However, with the development of knowledge and technology, we have developed means and ways that help us to find the right path when there is darkness all around us. One of the best ways that we have chosen to put into the original form is the invention of a bulb. A bulb is a perfect source for lightening your surroundings. The light is produced by the bulb using the electricity is known as the “Artificial Light”. We have been using artificial light since the bulb was invented. So, you can say that the bulb is a very useful invention for us.

There are different types of bulbs that we are acquainted with nowadays. <a href="http://www.galesburgelectric.com/Light-Bulbs/"rel="external"title="light bulbs" >Light bulbs are categorized into incandescent, halogen, filament, <a href="http://www.galesburgelectric.com/CFL-Compact-Fluorescent/"title="compact fluorescent lamp " >compact fluorescent lamp and fluorescent bulbs. However, bulbs that are most commonly used are the incandescent and the fluorescent bulbs.

These fluorescent bulbs work on a very different kind of working principle. Their working principle depends upon the excitation of gas atoms. These gas atoms are not excited alone. Rather they are excited by electrons more willingly than the electricity. The result would be the production of ultraviolet light. This ultraviolet light will be produced with the help of those excited atoms. The result will be to make phosphor shine. Now, the ultraviolet is then converted into the visible light that our eyes can differentiate and can see very easily.

You should know that the fluorescent bulbs need an outer counterbalance to carry out its working principle. This counterbalance more willingly than ballast normalizes the flow of current through the fluorescent bulb. The flow of current is through the tube within the fluorescent bulbs. These fluorescent bulbs are literally more efficient and easy to use as compared to the <a href="/category/incandescent-light-bulbs/"title="incandescent bulbs" >incandescent bulbs. They also come in different shapes and sizes depending upon your need However, care should be taken when you need to dispose these fluorescent bulbs. As these fluorescent bulbs contain phosphor that is highly deadly. So, avoid any carelessness in disposing these fluorescent bulbs.

<a href="http://www.galesburgelectric.com/Bulbrite/"rel="external"title="Bulbrite" >Bulbrite is a company which has been revolutionizing the lighting industry for almost 40 years since it was first established. The company is dedicated to discovering new ways to provide customers with electricity efficient lighting solutions. Special efforts made by the company in educating people about the industry and conducting ground breaking research has resulted in Bulbrite making innovative contributions such as the KX-2000 and LED MR16. Bulbrite <a href="http://www.galesburgelectric.com/Light-Bulbs/"rel="external"title="light bulbs" >light bulbs offer a wide range of bulbs and lamping components. Bulbrite is a committee member of the American Lighting association, a silver sustaining member of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IESNA"target="_blank"title="IESNA" >IESNA, member of the International Dark Sky Association and a partner of energy star.

<a href="http://www.bulbrite.com"target="_blank"rel="external"title="Bulbrite light bulbs" >Bulbrite light bulbs come in a number of shapes and sizes to match lighting requirements and holders. Bulbrite light bulbs are graded according to size using a code comprising of a letter and a number. The letter denotes the shape of the bulb and the number states the diameter of the bulb against eighths of an inch. According to this notation a common house bulb is graded A-19 which translates to the basic shape and of diameter 23/8. According to the lamp notation, base type is known. The different filaments are denoted as “C” for coil type. Using these notations, the Bulbrite products can be classified.

Color of light emitted is classified into two categories since customers require certain shades and intensities of light for different purposes. Color temperature is a measurement used to denote the color of the light emitted. The standard used is color rendering index or CRI which denotes as to how well an artificial light is able to render the true color of an object compared to what the color is seen as outside in sunlight.

Bulbrite light bulbs can be basically divided into the following categories:

Standard bulbs- These bulbs are of two types in the Bulbrite production series a fan bulb which has a strong and long lasting filament to withstand fan vibrations. A halogen A-19 bulb which is fully dimmable and 30% energy saving, available in clear and soft white.

Chandelier bulbs- These bulbs are specially built to add a wonderful affect on the chandeliers. They are of four types of the showroom series called Silicone flame, Spluntice, Nostalgic and antique. The other Krystal touch krypton bulb is a designer’s preferred lamp which is the only 10W Krypton bulb available in the market. It is 45% lumens per watt energy efficient than conventional bulbs.

Krypton or Xenon bulbs- KX-2000 X2000 Neon is some of those products. X2000 are good lights for accent lighting and landscape lighting. The KX-2000 is a good replacement for halogen lighting.

Halogen lamps- DJD GU-10, Frosted Halogen PARs, Halogen/Xenon BT15, R111 & MR20 GU10 and Specialty MR’s are some of the halogen products offered ad Bulbrite.

LED lamps- Bulbrite offers an array of LEC lights like LED C7, C9, Chain lights, LED Globes & S14, Super High Power LED’s and LED Rechargeable Candles.

<a href="/category/fluorescent-light-bulbs/"title="CFL Bulbs" >CFL bulbs- CFL Dimmable, CFL PAR Lamps, CFL Pin-Base and CFL Super Mini are CFL bulbs.

Bulbrite specials- These are the special kinds of lighting found only at Bulbrite. The four types are landscape lighting, nostalgic collection, linear and true daylight lamps.

Normal <a href="http://www.galesburgelectric.com/Light-Bulbs/"rel="external"title="light bulbs" >light bulbs used in rooms are called <a href="/category/incandescent-light-bulbs/"title="Incandescent Light Bulbs" >incandescent light bulbs. These bulbs produce white light by electricity flowing through a thin tungsten filament. The filament gets hot and becomes white hot producing white light, which is emitted to make the whole room bright with white light. Since there is a lot of heat produced, more energy is wasted in producing heat rather than producing the white light which we want. Therefore the efficiency of a normal bulb is very low. If there are a number of these bulbs the electricity waste is much more and the owner would have to pay a large electricity bill.

<a href="/category/fluorescent-light-bulbs/"title="Fluorescent Light Bulbs" >Fluorescent light bulbs are light bulbs which use a mix of argon gas and mercury in the vapour state inside a tube; there are two electrodes at the two ends of this <a href="/category/fluorescent-light-bulbs/"title="fluorescent tube" >fluorescent tube. When electricity is supplied to the electrodes a stream of electrons is sent through the fluorescent tube the electrons bump into the mercury atoms which excites them. The excited atoms then come to the ground state or become unexcited by emitting <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraviolet"target="_blank"rel="external"title="ultraviolet photons" >ultraviolet photons. The fluorescent tube has a phosphor coating which emits bright white light when the ultra violet photons hits the fluorescent tube surface. It is because of this that a normal florescent bulb of low wattage produces lighting intensity equivalent to a normal bulb with four to six times of its wattage.

The heat produced in a fluorescent light is very less therefore there is less waste of energy and the use of these bulbs are very efficient. When there are large amount of bulbs used in one place, fluorescent light bulbs can help you cut down on the electricity cost considerably. Lamps of this kind have a long lifespan unlike normal bulbs. Most fluorescent light bulbs are guaranteed to last 3 years or 20000-30000 hours. A fact about these lights is that the more frequently the lamp is switched on and off, the less life time it lasts for. Therefore if the lamp is switched off rarely and left on for days at a stretch, it can even last for more than three years. As I most cases, a fluorescent light bulbs lasts longer than 3 years.
Switching on fluorescent light bulbs draw an extra current greater than the normal operational current, therefore there has been a debate if the normal bulb is more efficient than these bulbs. The truth is that the extra current is much less compared to the electrical need of the normal bulb and anyway the operational current requirement of the florescent bulb is way cheaper. Unlike normal <a href="/category/incandescent-light-bulbs/"title="incandescent bulbs" >incandescent bulbs, fluorescent light bulbs have a brighter white light which lasts longer.

Fluorescent light bulbs come in different diameters and lengths, all of which can be fitted into an Edison socket. It is possible to obtain bulbs with different wattages ringing from 5 watts upwards. There are lamps called compact fluorescent light bulbs which are, as the name suggests, smaller versions of the longer bulb. These bulbs known as CFL for short can fit the same socket into which incandescent bulbs fit.

With fluorescent light bulbs you can reduce electricity costs greatly while having less trouble with replacing bulbs. It is possible to obtain bulbs with different shades or intensities of light.
